ESLatvian Civil aviation authority recognize LARPAS as a representative of Latvian remotely piloted aircraft systems community. We are working together in close cooperation to develop the system for safe and responsible use of RPAS in Latvia.TABLISHMENT

Latvian Association of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (LARPAS) was officially established on the 22nd of September 2015.  This decision was supported by SA “Latvian Civil Aviation Agency” (CAA), SJSC “Latvijas Gaisa Satiksme” and more than 50 other private and legal persons. This included RPAS manufacturers, operators, universities, training units, R&D, insurance companies, as well as other stakeholders from public sector.

MAIN GOAL
The main goal of LARPAS is to bring together, coordinate and provide support to different stakeholders for the purpose of promoting safe and responsible use of RPAS in Latvia.

LARPAS is also taking active participation at international level and is open for everyone connected with or interested in RPAS. The communication with international organizations all over the world has already been established to exchange experience and focus on possible cooperation.

RECOGNITION

LARPAS is a member of JEDA- recognized as a representative of the international RPAS community by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), European Parliament, European Commission (EC), European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), Single European Sky Air Traffic Management Research (SESAR) Joint Undertaking (JU), EUROCONTROL, European Defence Agency (EDA), European Organisation for Civil Aviation Equipment (EUROCAE), Joint Authorities for Rulemaking on Unmanned Systems (JARUS), NATO, as well as multiple national regulatory and military authorities.
