LARPAS Negotiations With Insurers

On the 5th of May there was a meeting held at Riga International Airport, in which representatives from S/A “Civil Aviation Agency”, “Latvian Insurers Association”, as well as representatives from “Latvian Association of Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems” took part.

During the meeting participants discussed questions regarding RPAS insurance possibilities. Rapid growth of this industry makes it necessary to find a solution of how to detect and evaluate the main risk factors in RPAS operations. It would work as the foundation of cooperation among RPAS users, insurers and other parties involved. It is essential in achieving safer and more protected flights for commercial and non-commercial purposes.

During the meeting it was agreed to continue ongoing collaboration, so that RPAS insurance services in Latvia would be more accessible and affordable.
